Delhi government has aimed  at cancellation of all universities examinations  under the state.  Deputy CM Manish Sisodia notifies  that due to the lockdown, studies could not be done in the entire semester.  Even lab, library, practical, research etc. should not be administer and it should be completely closed.  So it is difficult to conduct the exam without studying.  Due to corona crisis, it is not possible to conduct examination.  The month of July is very important for higher education.

 He said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal believes that in unprecedented times we have to take unprecedented decisions.  Today's time is of such unprecedented crisis.  Therefore, the Delhi government has decided to cancel all the semester and final year examinations in all the universities of the state.  There will be no examination for any year.  All universities have been instructed to formulate a formula for evaluation of children on the basis of all previous semesters and prior internal work of students and other appropriate basis without conducting any written examination.  On this basis, children should be promoted in the next semester.  Final year students should also be awarded degrees on the basis of their prior semester.


 He said that it is necessary to give immediate test results to the students.  Students have to study further.  Many students of the final year want to contribute to the economy of their family and country by doing some jobs.  Therefore, it is not appropriate to leave students in an atmosphere of uncertainty.  Therefore, the Delhi government has taken this big decision.

All universities should make proper parameters for evaluation of every student and release their test results.  They have expressed hope that this decision will bring relief to millions  children.

This decision will apply only to the state universities.  Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will write a letter to the Prime Minister for taking such a step in the universities of the Center.  In this, not only Delhi but all universities across the country will be requested to take such a decision.
When the lockdown started, examinations were going on in Delhi schools.  Therefore, the Delhi government did not conduct the 9th and 11th examinations.  The results were evaluated by  on an internal and mid-term basis.  Also, the Delhi government had requested the Central Government to administered such a formula by CBSE.  Such a decision has been implemented in the 10th and 12th.  Now only this complexity remains in the universities, for which proper instructions have been given.
